Join us every third Thursday of the month to get together and have meaningful discussions with other stroke survivors. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker who will touch upon different topics related to stroke and stroke recovery.
This month's speaker will be Shamali Dusane, PT, MPT, PhD. They will discuss Northwestern's clinical research study, STABLE Trial, which evaluates a novel, high-intensity gait training intervention. For the experimental group, training is conducted within an advanced, balance-challenging movement amplification environment generated by a specialized robotic device designed right in our lab. The control group undergoes the same training without the balance-challenging environment.
Following our speaker, the second half of the meeting will consist of guided discussion amongst the group.
