DESCRIPTION
This webinar will provide interdisciplinary rehabilitation staff treating functional constipation in adults with a background of physiologic and muscular changes in people with constipation as well as review common medical management options and testing procedures typically performed in patients who are constipated. We will build upon this foundational knowledge to then discuss rehabilitative assessment and evidence-based intervention strategies to address and treat constipation.

LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:  

  1. Define the physiology of normal defecation and changes that can occur in constipation
  2. Describe common medical investigations and management options for constipation, common biofeedback interventions and their functional application to clinical practice

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Participants will be present during the live webinar in its entirety and complete an attendance verification and feedback survey in the Academy Learning Portal within one month of the live air date.
