Ingrid is a research assistant working with both Adenike Adewuyi and Colin Franz MD, PhD, in the Regenerative Neurorehabilitation Lab. She graduated from Northwestern University in June 2023 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Advanced Asian Languages with a Korean concentration. She then officially joined the lab in December 2023 as a post-baccalaureate research fellow, contributing to various collaborative projects on engineered interface systems for spinal cord organoids. When her fellowship ended, she continued working in the lab as a research assistant on translational human motor unit studies. Currently, Ingrid's main project is assessing the reproducibility of several methods of motor unit number estimation for spinal cord injury. Outside of the lab, she enjoys karaoke, learning new languages and critically dissecting the TV shows and films she consumes.
